作り話：全ての放射線から逃れよう！／ＡＢＣニュース
米ＡＢＣのキャスター、ジョン・ストッセル氏による『作り話』シリーズの一つです。原子力発電や、放射能について、その言葉だけで拒否反応を示す方は確実にいらっしゃいますが、それは思い込み、もしくは思い込まされた事が原因かもしれません。 また、原発は『地球温暖化は化石燃料の為に起こってるからその解決策になる』という理由付けで普及させようとする人達も確実に存在する為、『地球温暖化人為説』に反対している人たちが、原子力に過剰反応してしまう状況もあります。特にネットでのやり取りを観察している限り、日本ではそういった印象を禁じ得ません。 しかし、海の向うのアメリカでは、そういった理由で原発に過剰に反対しているのではどうもなさそうです。かなり以前から環境団体を中心に、しかも『温暖化が人間のせいである』という『作り話』が生まれる遥か以前から、環境団体がとにかく反対してきていた様です。 こういった所に、原子力への反対運動についての、日本とアメリカの事情の違いが垣間見えます。この違いを知る事をきっかけに、日本でも原子力にまつわる様々な逸話を、見直す一つのきっかけにして頂ければ幸いです。 関連情報１：チェルノブイリ、かつスリーマイルの事故は、世界の先進国の平均寿命に影響を与えていない www2.ttcn.ne.jp 関連情報２：チェルノブイリ事故が起こった旧ソビエト時代の１９８６年から１９８９年までは死亡数の著名な増加は起こっていないが、１９９０年から１９９３～４年に急激に増加し、同時に平均寿命も急激に低下。そして１９９４年以降に死亡数はほぼ落ち着き、平均寿命は回復していっている。これはソビエト崩壊後のロシア国内の経済崩壊、及びそれが底を打った時期と一致する為、チェルノブイリ事故が死者数を急激に増やした、とは言えない ...
